Role
At State of Play Games, I worked as a Unity generalist on South of the Circle - A narrative adventure set in 1960s Antarctica and Cambridge. I was responsible for processing and integrating audio and motion-capture data to bring the game’s branching dialogue system to life.
Integrated motion-capture animations into Unity to support cinematic storytelling and gameplay.
Edited and synchronized animation and audio clips to match precise timing requirements.
Implemented animation triggers to align with branching dialogue and narrative cues.
Tested dialogue flows and animation events using Yarn Spinner and Excel-based tools.
Processed and organized large volumes of audio timing data into structured spreadsheets.
Collaborated in daily stand-ups and sprint planning sessions within an agile development environment.
Core Responsibilities:
South of the Circle is a deep narrative experience of the emerging relationship between Peter and Clara, Cambridge academics involved in a political conflict. The story focuses on promises made in between career and true love, where our choices burdened by our past seem to be illusory.
